Culture Night Urban Sketching in Glaslough 5.30PM

Join Lynsey for a relaxed evening of urban sketching around the village. All abilities are welcome. Bring your own materials, or basic drawing materials can be provided.

At 7pm, we’ll finish with a small informal open-air exhibition, where you can display your sketch and take a look at what others have created.

Meet the Artist:

Lynsey is a visual artist, hailing from Armagh, now living in Monaghan, Ireland. She specialises in landscape painting, where the environment around her influences her artwork. She uses oils to create a vibrant, emotive representation of the Irish landscape on canvas, mainly ‘en plein air’, where the mood of the environment informs the painting.

“I am most content when I’m painting ‘en plein air’, there is a liberation to each brushstroke when you’re painting outdoors. ”

Gaining her degree from N.C.A.D. Dublin in Fashion Design, she went on to have a successful career working as a designer for international retailers. Her skills in colour and trend contribute to her ability to produce beautiful, attractive pieces.
