Frequently Asked Questions

I have a question or I need advice before I purchase:

If you have questions before you purchase and would like to discuss options on your commission or get advice on what would work best for your particular request, please feel free to contact me here

I'm happy to help you make a decision on size, colour, finish, frame etc. before you purchase..

What do I do next, once I have ordered a commission online?

Once you have paid for your commissioned piece, (whether that is a House Portrait or a Hurling Portrait) I will contact you via email to discuss the artwork further. Here is the process:

  • Make sure to enter your email address in the checkout, as this is how I will correspond on commissions.
  • Once your order comes through, I will contact you via email to request photos and provide guidance on what you would like.
  • If it's a House Portrait, ideally you will send me a photo of the house, the angle you would like artwork to capture. I also appreciate as many detailed photos as you can send, ie: front door, windows, various angles. This ensures I can achieve a good likeness in the artwork.
  • If you are ordering a Hurling Portrait, you will need to send me a photo of the club/county jersey you would like featured. If you are hoping to achieve a likeness of the particular player, it's better if you can send me a photo of them playing. Remember, you may want to mention their number/player position. Make sure you have the information to pass on to me if you would like certain details captured.

How long will my commission take?

On average, I aim to get a commission complete within 1 month of purchase. However, during busy periods, my order book can be quite full and it may take slightly longer than this. Once I receive your order, I will let you know a rough completion date, based on how busy I am at that particular time. I will keep you up to date with progress throughout the process too. I will send you a photo of the initial sketch, any questions along the way, and a shot of the finished piece too before I post it to you.
