Original paintings by the artist Lynsey Mc Kernan, landscape artist from County Armagh, now living in County Monaghan. Lynsey's paintings are a mix of Plein Air pieces, where she has created the artwork outdoors, on site, capturing the moment and essence of the day and place.
Lynsey's other paintings capture dreamlike landscapes, an impressionistic view of the place or memory. Whimsical brushstrokes in sugary tones conjure up a nostalgic feel to the place in mind.

Lynsey uses oil on canvas for most of her work. Her landscape paintings are views of many places across Ireland. Some places of focus are the seaside towns of Rush, Skerries and nearby Lusk, where she once lived. Armagh features heavily, the fields of her childhood in Middletown are where a lot of her inspiration comes from in the impressionistic paintings. Then locally, her Plein Air paintings feature Rossmore Park in County Monaghan - numerous woods, walks, lakes and flora to take in.
